Practical information about Trivian.
Here you'll find all the important details about our program and how we operateโfrom admission to costs and support.
Course Duration & Pace.
The program begins with a 15-week (approximately 5-month) intensive, hands-on track. You choose the pace that best suits your situationโfull-time or part-timeโwhile always achieving the same learning outcomes and taking the same final exam.
Weekly course load.
On average, expect 12โ18 hours per week for part-time study or about 32 hours for full-time study. The course load consists of hands-on labs, simulations, preparation, and guided feedback sessions. It is possible to balance this with work if you have a realistic weekly schedule.
Class Format & Location.
Trivian operates on a hybrid model: online labs and guided sessions are alternated with training days at Schiphol-Rijk (Boeing Avenue 254). This provides flexibility without compromising on hands-on experience.
Admission Requirements & Intake.
A degree is not required. We look for motivation, a basic interest in IT, and your availability. The process is simple: 1-minute check โ brief intake interview โ possibly a basic assessment โ start in the next cohort.
Start Dates & Registration.
We launch cohorts with limited spots several times a year. The next start date is listed on the program page; if a cohort is full, you can be placed on the waiting list.
Costs & Financing.
The investment varies depending on your situation (individual or employer). You can make a one-time payment, enroll through your employer or a traineeship program, or request a customized solution for teams. During a no-obligation consultation, weโll explain the options and terms.
Language & Guidance.
The course is taught in Dutch, with English-language materials provided where relevant. You will train under the guidance of instructors with practical experience in SOCs, blue-team environments, and consulting; each participant receives personalized feedback and guidance on their progress.
Certification & Completion.
Youโll conclude the course with a scenario assessment and receive the Trivian Certificate of Completion, which includes an overview of the learning outcomes youโve achieved and the labs youโve completed. This portfolio will help you enter SOC, Blue, and OT roles.
In addition, you will prepare specifically for internationally recognized certifications:
LPI Linux Essentials (010-160) โ included in the program
Cisco CCNA (200-301) โ exam preparation: external exam; self-directed certification.
CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) โ (highly recommended) exam-ready: external exam; self-directed certification.
eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester) โ fully skill-aligned
ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) โ exam-ready: external exam; self-directed certification.
For organizations.
Companies can use Trivian to recruit junior defenders or bring employees on board through a trainee program. The content and schedule are tailored to tooling, processes, and compliance requirements (including NIS2 relevance).
