As a freelance cybersecurity trainer at Trivian, you will work with experienced IT professionals who want to deepen their knowledge and apply it at an academic level. At some point, many cybersecurity specialists seek to have a greater impact than just resolving incidents, maintaining tooling, or performing pentests. Teaching motivated participants is then a logical next step.
At Trivian, teaching revolves around precisely that. Our training programs focus on talented IT professionals who are selected based on their knowledge, character, and potential. These are not beginners, but participants who are ready for academic-level and intensive practical work. As a trainer, you will guide these professionals through realistic attack simulations, forensic investigations, and hands-on labs. You show them what the profession looks like in practice and help them grow toward a role in the cybersecurity elite of the Netherlands.
In this blog, you can read about what working at Trivian entails, what profiles we are seeking, and why experienced trainers choose to join us.
Why teaching at Trivian is interesting for experienced professionals
You train participants who already have a strong foundation.
Trivian works with people who consciously choose an intensive program. They have technical knowledge, motivation, and a clear goal. This allows you, as a trainer, to work at a high level. You don't simplify the material, but deepen it with examples from your experience. You guide participants through attack simulations, threat hunting, and forensic investigation.
Our approach is practical and realistic. Participants work with tools such as Kali Linux, Python, Metasploit, and forensic frameworks. They investigate malware, analyze memory dumps, and run complete labs. This allows you to teach from the perspective of everyday professional practice.
You will continue to work within your area of expertise.
Trivian matches trainers with topics that match their expertise. You don't have to be an all-round teacher. With us, you work in the domain where you add the most value. Whether that's Linux, networking, incident response, malware analysis, forensics, pentesting, or SOC work.
You determine your own availability
Teaching at Trivian is completely flexible. You choose how much you teach and on which days it suits you. For many trainers, this is an ideal addition to consultancy, SOC work, or freelance assignments.
You make a visible impact
The participants you mentor will go on to positions where they will have a direct impact on digital security in the Netherlands. That makes teaching meaningful. You help determine how well this new generation of security professionals will perform in the future.
